We want the first Tunbridge Wells Climate and Nature Fair to be fun and to inspire the local community about what we can all do to improve our natural environments. But there are also serious messages that need to be sent out to our local and national and global leaders. That we cannot continue sleep-walking toward environmental catastrophe.

 

So, we are delighted that so many campaign groups will bring their passion and spirit to our Fair, each with important messages on the crises facing us that need to be heard:
🔥 #extinctionrebellion is a campaign movement focused on creating awareness of this environmental catastrophe and what needs to happen to prevent it. Look out for members of the local group and for the XR samba drummers!
🔥#flightfreeUK aims to inform people about the climate impact of aviation, whilst inspiring them with the joys of travelling by other means.
🔥#friendsoftheearth have been fighting for over 50 years for people and planet. They have more than 2million members worldwide, including an active local group.
🔥#makemymoneymatter aims to give people a louder voice and more choice about how their money is invested and campaigns for more sustainable and responsible investment.
🔥#powerforpeople campaigns directly to Government for an urgent transition to 100% clean energy to benefit local communities.
🔥#Plantlife has a mission to secure a world rich in the wild plants and fungi that critically underpin the health of our natural environment.
🔥#Viva speaks out about the cruelty of our factory farming and the destruction it is wreaking and provides support and encouragement for people on their journey into veganism.
🔥 there has been a local #UnitedNationsAssociation in TW for over 50 years. They are part of a global community in pursuit of Equality, Sustainability and Peace.
